Stunning Kitchen Remodel with White Shaker Cabinets

We met Ray and Lucy in the last Home and Garden Show at the Fair Grounds. They had purchased their home 10 years ago and were very excited to have their kitchen redone with new designs.  They wanted to be able to add more cabinet storage space and get new cabinets.

Their home was a “flip” they purchased from a contractor who didn’t put much thought into any aesthetics. They just replaced the kitchen counters and repainted the old 40 year old cabinets. The kitchen was cramped and didn’t have much cabinet storage space. We redesigned the kitchen by moving the stove to the East wall to create cabinet space. We moved the refrigerator to the South wall to be able to function better. Kitchens that were built in the 70’s all have drop down soffits and short wall upper cabinets. We removed the soffits and added 40″ tall wall cabinets to add more storage. Needless to say, the kitchen functions much better and has plenty of storage.
